Mobile Recording & Rights Ownership To provide clients with full commercial security, all Stiff Ted Music mobile recording sessions operate under a formal Assignment of Copyright framework.

Ownership: Upon receipt of full and final payment, Stiff Ted Music formally assigns 100% of the Sound Recording Copyright (Master Rights) to the client under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Execution of this contract [via digital/physical signature or formal written confirmation of quote] satisfies the requirements of Section 90(3) of the Act as a signed written instrument of transfer.

Moral Rights: Stiff Ted Music waives any moral rights under Sections 77–85 of the CDPA 1988 strictly in relation to the commercial exploitation of the master recording by the client, subject to final payment.

Promotion: This assignment is subject to a restrictive licence back to Stiff Ted Music allowing the use of short, credited audio excerpts strictly for portfolio, archive, and promotional use.
Remixing & Re-Mixing Services To ensure a legally secure release process, work is undertaken subject to the following protocols:

Clearances & Indemnity: The client must provide written confirmation that all provided stems, files, and source materials are fully cleared for manipulation and commercial derivative use. The client assumes all liability and agrees to fully indemnify Stiff Ted Music against any third-party copyright infringement claims, legal fees, or damages arising from uncleared source material.

Commercial Terms: All agreements regarding service fees and royalties—including Master splits and Publishing (PRS for Music / MCPS)—must be executed in writing prior to the commencement of tracking or mixing.
Health, Safety & Insurance On-site professionalism and safety are guaranteed across all sessions and live setups:

Insurance: Stiff Ted Music maintains comprehensive Public Liability Insurance (PLI), valid for all standard client and venue locations.

Risk Mitigation: Site-specific Risk Assessments are conducted for every operational engagement. All mobile/live equipment undergoes regular testing in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (PAT principles), and studio environments are maintained in compliance with the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, meeting all baseline duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
