Mobile Recording: To ensure professional legal frameworks are met, all Mobile Recording sessions are conducted under a standard 'Work for Hire' agreement. Upon full payment, the client retains 100% of the Master Rights to the recording. However, the agreement includes a standard release clause allowing Stiff Ted Music to use short, credited excerpts for portfolio and promotional purposes.
For all remixing projects: In accordance with copyright frameworks. I require email confirmation that all provided stems are cleared for manipulation. Furthermore, any agreements regarding fees or splits (Master or Publishing) are agreed prior to the commencement of the mix
To mitigate risk Stiff Ted Music holds comprehensive Public Liability Insurance. I also do a basic risk assessment (including DSE for studio work and cable/power safety for live setups) to ensure compliance with health and safety regs.
